Our mission at NLV is to promote unity, multiculturalism and serve as an advocate for the Latino Community. Our cultural events are an integral piece of that mission. Both the Cinco de Mayo Celebration and the Diversity Celebration adhere to the following principles as we work towards unity for all people:

To enhance race relations, promote unity as well as economic growth, to build social capital and demonstrate the added value that Diverse communities bring to Kalamazoo by coordinating fun-filled, family oriented activities with primary focus centered on education about Diverse cultures.
Our Essence
No matter what ones ethnicity may be, we all share the same hopes and fears for our family and loved ones. Today, the strongest front in achieving these common goals is a united one.
